“Watford” club legend Troy Deeney spoke about footballers who do not want to play at a lower level.

This summer, the 35-year-old Englishman joined the fourth division club “Forest Green Rovers”. In this club, he will be playing as a player-coach.

His words about footballers: “This summer, I spent some time in Dubai and met a few guys (footballers), I won't name them, but they can't find a club, they haven't been playing football for two years, in my opinion, because of their incompetence.

They are used to receiving certain salaries and playing at a certain level. Everyone thinks they have ended their careers, but they are being offered to clubs and think, ‘I'm too good for that’, but that is incompetence.

Now we are hindering ourselves. People think we are right, but we are not. I think we are accustomed to luxury, players from the Premier League and Championship say, ‘I definitely won't go play in League Two’.

So, think about your start? It was your dream, you would have done everything for football to become your job.”
