In Kaunas, the league leaders will meet - last year's champion "Kaunas" and surprisingly Vilnius "Žalgiris" at the top of the tournament table. In Šiauliai, they will host Klaipėda's "Atlantas", who have yet to secure their first victory. "We hope to prepare the team better than in the match against "Vilnius", when the team lacked focus in the first half and failed to follow the coaches' instructions. The fact that Šiauliai's defense has been strengthened this year by Egidijus Žukauskas will add some intrigue to the match, as he has not spoken very favorably about his former club "Atlantas" and its leader Vacė Lekevičius.
In the previous round, "Vilnius" surpassing "Šiauliai" at home will seek another victory against "Šilutė". So far, the biggest problem for Vilnius has been their finishing.
