At the beginning of summer, "Chelsea" wanted to acquire Declan Rice, but soon there were only two candidates left: "Manchester City" and "Arsenal". It was the latter who acquired the 24-year-old Englishman.

Journalist Matt Law from "Telegraph" revealed that "Chelsea" withdrew from a potential deal for D. Rice due to the price.

The "Aristocrats" did not want to overpay for a defensive midfielder just because he was English - that was the "English premium".

Nevertheless, at the end of the transfer window, they laid down 115 million pounds for Moises Caicedo, even though D. Rice was only worth 100 million pounds.

Of course, both "West Ham" and "Brighton" profited handsomely from these transfers.
