K. Trippier: my son wanted to go to the game with K. Mbappe, not me

“Newcastle United” defender Kieran Trippier joked that his son would rather accompany Kylian Mbappé to the pitch than his father in a showdown with PSG.

K. Trippier said his son is a big fan of the PSG leader:

“He is obsessed with him, constantly watches his YouTube clips.”

“I was not pleased with these words of my son. I told him, if you get to go to the pitch with him, don't look at me in the tunnel.”

K. Trippier remembers his encounters with the French captain. “I played against him, I think it could have been his debut match in the ‘Monaco’ ranks - when I was at ‘Tottenham’, and I made my debut playing against him for the England national team,” the “Newcastle United” defender said at a press conference before the match.

The evening match will be special for the English team, as after a 20-year break, Champions League battles return to the “St. James' Park” stadium.
