2030 World Cup will be the second in line, with 48 national teams participating in the tournament. Not only that, but the system with hosts will be quite confusing.
David Ornstein from "The Athletic" announces that the 2030 World Cup hosts will be Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. Besides that, there is one deception.
The first three tournament matches will not take place in Africa or Europe. They will be held in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, to mark the 100th anniversary of the World Cup. Each of these countries will host one match only.
This will be the first time that the World Cup is held in three different continents.
The last time the World Cup took place in multiple countries was in 2002, when the hosts were Japan and South Korea. Later followed Germany, South Africa, Brazil, Russia, and Qatar.
The 2026 tournament will be held in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
