The Lithuanian National Team Lineup Introduced

The Lithuanian national men's team faces two more tests in the next year's European Championship qualifiers.

In October, Edgaras Jankauskas' team will play two matches - on October 14 they will face Bulgaria's team in an away game, and on October 17 Lithuanians will host Hungary at the Darius and Girenas Stadium in Kaunas.

Both matches will be broadcast for free in Lithuania on the VIAPLAY platform. We remind you that the first match between Lithuania and Bulgaria in June in Kaunas ended in a 1:1 draw, while the first encounter with the Hungarians away ended in a 0:2 defeat.

In Edgaras Jankauskas' selected squad, compared to the list in the previous national team camp, there are only three changes. Three players who are currently unable to play due to injuries - Deividas Sesplaukis, Donatas Kazlauskas, and Artemijus Tutyskinas - are replaced by three players returning to the national team: Modestas Vorobjovas, Klaudijus Upstas, and Edgaras Utkus returning to the national team after a longer break.

It is the latter who returns to the national team after the longest break - the last time he wore the national team shirt was in June 2022, later he had to deal with injuries multiple times, but recently he returned to the lineup and is getting playing time in Belgium.
