In the Champions League semi-finalists AC Milan, playing without their strongest lineup, were able to beat Torino away with a score of 1-0 and rise to third place, even though Lazio has played one match less. The victory for Milan was sealed by a great goal from Clarence Seedorf in the 25th minute. The Dutchman took advantage of the space left by the opponents' defenders away from the goal and unleashed a powerful shot into Torino's goal, which the home team's goalkeeper Christian Abbiati couldn't stop.
Hopes of reaching the Champions League were not lost for Fiorentina either. Despite playing without their attacking leader Luca Toni, the team from Florence managed to defeat Chievo at home with a score of 1-0. The winning goal was scored in the 64th minute.
