European champions Italy want to defend their title in the championship. They comfortably defeated the Malta national team 4-0 and earned important points.

In the first half, Giacomo Bonaventura and Dominico Berardi stood out among Luciano Spaletti's players. The latter completed his "double" after the break.

Davide Frattesi added a goal in the match.

This victory was a response to the Ukrainian team's game. They had previously defeated North Macedonia 2-0 earlier on Saturday.

Italy and Ukraine both have 10 points in their account. However, Spaletti's team still has a match in hand. The clash between these national teams is scheduled for November 20.
