In the Marshall Islands in Micronesia, the country is famous not only for its exotic nature or the UNESCO-listed Bikini Atoll.
This country is the only one in the world without a men's national football team and does not hesitate to fight for the right to play in planetary championships or other prestigious tournaments.
Nevertheless, the situation could change as soon as next year.
In 2020, with the establishment of the Marshall Islands Football Federation, Lloyd Owers, its technical director, was hired and promised an exciting innovation.
"In the future, we want to become participants in the World Cup qualifiers and also compete in the Oceania Football Confederation games. I believe that within a decade, if these ambitions do not wane, it will be accomplished," the Englishman clarified.
However, the Marshall Islands intend to start preparing for future battles much earlier. The federation has already created the team's uniforms and plans to play their first friendly matches next summer.
