The San Marino team is not without reason called the weakest national team in the world.

With just 33,000 inhabitants, the state is ranked last at 207 in the FIFA rankings and has no chances of improving its position in the near future.

However, sometimes even fans of this tiny country's football have reasons to rejoice.

It happened in yesterday's European Championship match against Denmark, when the hosts managed to score a goal in the 61st minute and at least temporarily equalize the score against the Danes - 1:1.

The hosts triumphed as if they had scored a decisive goal in the World Cup final - the strong Danish national team currently ranks 18th in the FIFA rankings.

However, the match ended in a 1:2 loss for San Marino, when Y. Poulsen scored the decisive goal in the 70th minute.
