UEFA reduces the number of footballers participating in "Euro 2024

UEFA has decided to reduce the number of footballers participating in the 2024 European Championship.

As reported by "The Times", teams will be allowed to bring not 26, but 23 players to the future soccer feast.

Such a number was common until 2020, when the world was hit by the troubles of the coronavirus pandemic.

For this reason, the "Euro 2020" tournament, which took place in 2021, had squads of 26 footballers each.

The same number of athletes featured in the previous World Cup in Qatar, but back then the reason was different - the competition took place in the middle of the season.
