UEFA Intertoto Cup first round matches will see Vilnius facing the "Llanelli" club. This became clear at the end of the Welsh Championship, where "Llanelli" secured third place.
In the last round of matches at home, "Llanelli" defeated the 11th placed "Porthmadog" 5-0 and with 63 points surpassed the tied "Welshpool Town".
Founded in 1896, "Llanelli", where the Lithuanian Karolina Stasaitytė works as a manager, is currently one of the two professional clubs in the highest Welsh league along with the country's champion "TNS".
Following their second-place finish in the Welsh Championship last year, the "Llanelli" team participated in the UEFA Cup competition, where they overcame the barrier of "Gefle" (Sweden) in the first qualifying round, but stumbled against the "Odense" (Denmark) team in the second round.
The first match of the first stage of the Intertoto Cup tournament will take place on June 23 or 24 in Vilnius, with the return leg being played a week later in Wales on June 30 or July 1.
