"Vilnius" players started the match at Klaipėda's "Žalgiris" stadium with great energy and broke through in the 6th minute. The most productive player of "Vilnius", Kleyr, forced Klaipėda's goalkeeper Arnas Lekevičius to fetch the ball from the net. After a corner kick delivery, the Brazilian player from Vilnius jumped higher than the opponents and finished Vilnius' attack with a precise header - 0-1.

Having scored a goal, the "Vilnius" players did not slow down, controlled the ball longer than the opponents, and organized one attack after another. In the 32nd minute, "Vilnius" doubled their lead. Klaipėda's defenders illegally stopped "Vilnius" forward Muller in their penalty area, who then scored the 11-meter penalty kick into "Atlantas" goal - 0-2.

The second half started better for the home team, who took advantage of the relaxation of the guests, and managed to soften the result. In the 62nd minute, Aničičius from "Atlantas" scored by putting the ball past Liudvikas Valius - 1-2.

After conceding a goal, the "Vilnius" players were slightly shaken, and "Atlantas" started pressing the visitors. The Vilnius coaches decided to strengthen the defense and instead of forward Muller, they sent defender Marcio onto the field.

As the match was nearing its end, "Vilnius" could have widened their lead, but Vytautas Lukša failed to capitalize on two goal-scoring opportunities. Due to rough play by the "Atlantas" players, Vilnius was soon forced to make another substitution - the injured striker Kleyr was replaced by another forward, Wasiu Akanni. After the match, it was revealed that Kleyr managed to avoid a serious injury.

Despite the victory, the head coach of "Vilnius", Antanas Vingilys, was not completely satisfied with the team's performance in Klaipėda.

"The first half was not bad. We had the lead, our game was good, and the goals were beautiful. At the start of the second half, the players believed in victory too early. I can say that the same situation as in the match with "Šiauliai" repeated itself. We again caused problems for ourselves. We will analyze, talk, and draw conclusions," said the "Vilnius" strategist.
