After the lost game of the Lithuanian champion "Kaunas" club, "Vėtra's" head coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas was very disappointed with the team's performance.

They capitalized on our first mistake near their goal and then paid more attention to defense. At the end of the match, they created a couple of dangerous counterattacks, but it was a risky play from our side to try to equalize the score.

Today, analyzing the opponents' game during theoretical sessions, I pointed out to the players that Beniušis covers very well in the "free zones." I analyzed Beniušis' game in the previous matches. I explained to the players how to control him in the zones, how defenders should protect each other. I emphasized defense against Beniušis, but... the defenders lacked skill. In the battle for high balls, we neutralized Beniušis, but we missed the combination that ultimately led to the opponent's goal. Jankauskas escaped from the zone he was supposed to guard, Raliukonis couldn't catch up with Beniušis, and we missed the goal that determined the loss.
