The captain of the Mexican national team and the midfielder of the Spanish champions club, Rafael Marquez, will not be able to help his team for about two weeks due to a muscle injury in his right leg.
The 28-year-old footballer suffered the injury during training and as a result, he missed the 1-0 home victory against Valencia's "Levante" on Sunday.
Now the player may miss the matches against "Real Sociedad", Sevilla's "Betis", and the Copa del Rey semifinal second leg against the "Getafe" team, which "Barca" defeated 5-2 in the first leg.
The Catalan club is still holding onto the top positions in the Spanish Primera league championship, leading "Sevilla" by one point and trailing Madrid's "Real", who is in third place, by two points.
