London team and England national team captain John Terry revealed that he had spoken with the club about the possibility of becoming the team's coach when his new nine-year contract ends.
Last month, the defender stated that negotiations to extend his contract with the team had not progressed, but the player remains adamant that he wants to spend the remaining part of his career at Chelsea.
The 26-year-old footballer once again confirmed that the negotiations had broken down, but added that the situation was not irreversible. In any case, in an interview with the BBC, J. Terry revealed additional details, stating that he would like to become a coach, ideally for Chelsea.
"I would like to one day coach a team. When we talked about extending my contract with Chelsea, we talked about a nine-year contract, with the option to coach the team at the end," J. Terry disclosed details of the conversation with the Chelsea board.
"That is the path I would like to take," added the Englishman.
