Madrid's "Atletico" shines in the Spanish championship.

On Sunday evening, Diego Simeone's team defeated Deportivo "Alaves" 2:1 and added another 3 points to their tally.

In the first half, the "mattresses" built up a two-goal lead after Riquelme's and Morato's goals.

"Alaves" only managed to bring intrigue back into the match in the very last minute, scoring a goal. There was not enough time to create another dangerous attack, and "Atletico" triumphed.

The Madrid club has one more match in reserve, in which they will face "Girona" and "Real" players.
