Before the season, some football fans were amazed when they heard that the reins of the "Tottenham" team were taken over by the Australian Ante Postecoglou.
However, the 58-year-old specialist quickly earned the respect of both fans and opponents - at the moment, the London team is leading the "Premier" league and has not suffered a single defeat in over ten matches.
When asked about the recipe for his success, A. Postecoglou told the BBC:
"It is not necessary to get as much money for new players (like 'Chelsea' - aut. note). I have always said and felt that success does not depend on the amount of money spent.
Time always proves this theory.
You cannot have 24 world-class footballers in your team. That will never work.
You need to balance the composition of the team, have guys who are willing to achieve the goal.
Spending endless money to get the best players is not the solution. The answer is simple - you need to create the right "chemistry" in your team," - clarified the strategist.
