In the league - very painfully lost points of "Šiauliai" club against "Džiugas

The 35th round of the "Optibet A League" kicked off in Telšiai, where the local team clashed with opponents from the City of the Sun. Fighting until the end, Telšiai's "Džiugas" erased a two-goal deficit and played a draw 3:3 (1:2) against FA "Šiauliai".

The guests took the lead in the 12th minute of the match - after a pass from Simonas Paulius, Daniel Romanovskis scored in time into the penalty area. Just moments later, Nuno Pereira responded with a shot on the ground, but Lukas Paukštė redirected the ball outside the box.

Šiauliai doubled the score in the 24th minute when D. Romanovskis sent the ball towards the goal, and Oleksijus Ščebetunas, who touched the ball with his foot, outplayed the opponents' goalkeeper. Both teams earned several corners, and after one of them, O. Ščebetunas took a dangerous shot, and later Aldairas Ferreira made a dangerous attempt from long distance.

However, just before the end of the first half, "Džiugas" reduced the deficit when Vinicius Ribeiro scored after a long pass from Lukas Ankudinovas into the penalty area.

The start of the second half was successful for the representatives of the City of the Sun - after a set-piece in the second half, Rimvydas Sadauskas was accurate.

After playing for almost an hour, Telšiai earned a very dangerous corner, during which S. Kuliničius headed towards the goal, but the shot by the Šiauliai players was cleared from the goal line. However, Davidas Maicomas equalized the score after a raised corner, and in the 68th minute, Nuno Pereira took a dangerous penalty shot, saving his team from another conceded goal.

Not giving up, Joao Prates' disciples managed to equalize the score when D. Ankudinovas redirected the ball into the goal after a pass from V. Ribeiro and solid defense from Egidijus Vaitkūnas.

In the 87th minute, D. Ankudinovas could have scored a double, but the forward was slightly off target in front of the goal, and a few moments later, Jevgenas Jefremovas failed to capitalize on his own opportunity for a quick attack.
