Real Madrid played a 0:0 draw against Rayo Vallecano at home.

At the very beginning of the match, Federico Valverde had a great opportunity to put the hosts ahead, but after outrunning the opponent's goalkeeper, he failed to outsmart him. The "Royal" club continued to create chances, and in the 39th minute Stole Dimitrievski deflected a dangerous shot from Joselu.

In the second half, Real Madrid's chances were not as dangerous, but even in such circumstances, the visitors did not have opportunities to even think about attempting shots on goal. This is reflected in the statistics - only 3 shots were taken by Rayo throughout the match. In the 66th minute, Vinicius sent the ball into the net, but the goal was quickly disallowed due to an obvious offside. There was no more threatening moments towards S. Dimitrievski's goal for the rest of the time, which means that Real Madrid played a draw for the second time this season.

After this victory, they are in 2nd place in the La Liga standings, while Rayo Vallecano is in 9th place.

In other matches, Athletic Bilbao won 3:2 against the struggling Villarreal club in an away game this season.

The visitors took the lead at the very beginning of the match, in the 2nd minute, when Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta scored a goal. Nico Williams doubled the score after 20 minutes. Meanwhile, his brother Inaki Williams scored in the 30th minute. It seemed like this match would end without much excitement.

Finally, towards the end of the match, the home team fought back. In the 86th minute, Villarreal forward Gerard Moreno scored a goal, and just a minute later another forward Alexander Sorloth managed to equalize. However, the "Yellow Submarine" failed to score again, marking their 6th loss in 12 La Liga championship matches.

This victory lifted the Basques to 5th place, while Villarreal temporarily sits in 12th position.
