The forward of the Finnish national team and a player from a lower league team in England's "Championship", Mikael Forssell, can transfer to Germany for a sum of 1 million pounds sterling and join the team.
The 26-year-old former striker for the London-based team "Chelsea" could move to Germany as soon as June 1st, when the summer player transfer market opens. His potential move to "Hannover" would resolve disagreements with the "Birmingham" team regarding a new contract.
Forssell recently faced problems with injuries and as a result was unable to secure a main spot in the team led by Steve Bruce, the "Blues", which has already secured a ticket back to the "Premier" league this season.
"I want to play football and I believe that moving to "Hannover" is a real chance to make it happen. I think these things will be resolved. Every player wants time to shine. I was injured for a long time, but now I am healthy and ready to play," said M.Forssell.
In the 2003-2004 season while at "Chelsea", M. Forssell was loaned to "Birmingham" and in his first season with the team he scored 19 goals.
While the Finnish legionnaire recovered from his knee injuries, his place in the attack was taken by Nicklas Bendtner, Cameron Jerome, DJ Campbell and most recently, loaned from "Portsmouth", Andy Cole.
