Marijampolės “Sūduva” ir Vilnius “Riteriai” played their last match of the season. In the 36th round of the “Optibet A lyga”, “Sūduva” lost 0:3 to the capital's “Riteriai”.

The guests started the match more actively - the first standard situation at the Marijampolė gates ended with a goal by Nicola Popovic.

At the end of the first half, “Sūduva” had a golden opportunity - Armantas Vitkauskas saved Aivaras Emis's shot, and Ibrahim Olaosebikan rushed to the ball and hit the top of the goal.

Already in the first attacks of the second half, the goalkeeper Darius Stankevičius of Sūduva struck dangerously, but once again the Vilnius goalkeeper saved his team.

In the 65th minute, after a pass from Colin Odutayo, Rokas Filipavicius sent the ball into the goal defended by Giedrius Zenkevicius and doubled “Riteriai's” lead.

In the 83rd minute, R. Filipavicius assisted C. Odutayo, and the latter sent the ball into the Marijampolė goal for the third time in today's match.

“Sūduva” finished the championship in seventh place with 35 points, and the victory of Matthew Silva's trainees from Portugal did not save Marijampolė, as “Riteriai” finished last.
