Last summer, London's Chelsea did not hesitate to pay as much as 40 million pounds for Manchester City's talent Cole Palmer, and it seems that this deal has been quite successful so far.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has already scored four goals in the Premier League this season and received his first call-up to the England national team.
C. Palmer himself, speaking to Sky Sports, revealed that he is satisfied with the decision to move to Chelsea, despite Pep Guardiola wanting to keep the player in Manchester.
"We all know what a great coach Pep Guardiola is and he gave me the chance to shine. I will always be grateful to him for that.
No one knows what would have happened if I had stayed at City. I think the decision to move to Chelsea has been justified so far.
It was an extremely difficult decision. But I decided that the competition at Man City is huge, so it was better to just leave.
I deliberated for a long time on what to do, but I realized that I needed more playing time.
When moving to Chelsea, I certainly didn't think about the possibility of being in the England national team in the near future. I just wanted to show what I can really do on the pitch," C. Palmer said.
