IFAB prepares guidance for players attacking referees © AFP

The increasing aggression of players towards referees is prompting changes in football rules.

As reported by "The Telegraph", in the next two weeks a meeting of IFAB will take place in London, during which an important innovation will be discussed.

It is said that the organization of football rule supervisors is considering the introduction of a short-term player exclusion during the match.

An angry player who commits an offense against referees would have to spend ten minutes next to the field barrier.

This innovation was already tested in a children's tournament in England in 2019, where it completely justified the nurtured hopes.

If the rules are updated, only the team captain will have the right to discuss the decisions made by the referees.
