B. Mendy took the 'Man City' team to court

Benjamin Mendy sued to receive impressive sums of money through the courts.

As reported by the "Daily Mail", the 29-year-old Frenchman, who faced serious charges but was later acquitted, is demanding that "Man City" transfer him his unpaid wages.

In September 2021, the athlete was arrested for the alleged rape of a 24-year-old woman and attempted rape of a 29-year-old woman.

Since the player was arrested, the "City" stopped paying the defender his weekly salary of £100,000. The Premier League champion's contract with the footballer was valid until the summer of this year.

After spending two years behind bars, the player was released this year and tried to revive his professional career with his hometown team "Lorient", but so far he has only appeared three times this season.
