The Spanish club "Villarreal" will have to cope without their defender Pascal Cygan until the end of this season. The Frenchman tore his right thigh muscles.
The 33-year-old P. Cygan suffered the injury in a collision with an opponent during Sunday's 3-0 victory in the Spanish championship match against Tarragona's "Gimnastic". The defender will be able to return to sports in two months.
P. Cygan joined the "Yellow Submarine" club last summer from London's "Arsenal" for about 3 million euros and signed a two-year contract.
"Villarreal" currently occupies the 10th place in the Spanish league, with 6 rounds left. This season, the 191 cm tall Frenchman played 22 matches and scored 1 goal.
