“Barcelona” team wanted to get more money from their long-time partner “Nike.”

“Sport” reports that the Catalan club earns around 100 million euros per season from the apparel manufacturer and has the possibility (if the bonus conditions are met) to increase this amount to 155 million.

However, the leaders of “La Liga” teams believe that the contract signed in 2018 is a rip-off and want to significantly increase the amounts specified in the contract.

The cooperation between both parties has been going on since 1998.

If it is decided to go separate ways, “New Balance,” “Puma,” and other companies are trying to take over Nike's place.
