The Marijampolė "Sūduva" has its first newcomer - your Latvian Klavas Kramenas, who represented Alytus "Dainava" in 2023.
The 23-year-old central defender scored 2 goals in the last season in the "Optibet A league" in 25 matches (both - headers from set pieces) and was cautioned once. The player received another yellow card during the LFF Cup tournament.
Before arriving at "Dainava," the Latvian played only in hometown clubs - Riga "Alberts," "Valmiera," Jūrmala "Spartaks," and "Noah."
"The 2023 season was my first abroad, the whole idea was to get to know football beyond Latvia and maybe be noticed. The season was good for me, and I am even more pleased that the coach of "Sūduva," Dovydas Lastauskas, paid attention to me," said the newcomer from Marijampolė. "I have only heard good things about the club and its leaders, so the decision to move to "Sūduva" was easy."
K. Kramenas hopes that "Sūduva" will achieve a higher position in the Lithuanian championship next season than the 7th place this year.
"Last season, the team's defense was of a good level, I want to blend into the team with as much energy as possible and I will make every effort to ensure that our statistics are positive," said the Latvian. "And I would like to compete with the team for a place in the European cup tournaments."
"Sūduva" will start preparing for the new season in mid-January, and the club's fans can already purchase memberships and season tickets for 2024.
