The football world was shaken by a scandal in Turkey, which centered around referee Halil Umutas Meler and the president of the "Ankaragucu" club.
After the match between "Ankaragucu" and "Rizespor", the home club president ran onto the field and hit the referee.
The match referee collapsed after the incident and received several more blows, causing chaos on the field.
The president of the Turkish Football Federation, Mehmet Buyukeksi, confirmed in a press conference that all country's football leagues are suspended after the attack on the referee.
"All of Turkey's football leagues are suspended indefinitely.
"This attack is a shame for all of Turkish football," said M. Buyukeksi.
