Legendary English football coach Sir Bobby Robson admitted that he has been diagnosed with cancer for the fifth time.
The 74-year-old specialist, currently working as a consultant for the Irish national team, has been battling this deadly disease for 15 years, but so far has not been able to overcome it completely.
In August, he underwent a surgical operation, but this time B. Robson does not intend to lie on the operating table.
Nevertheless, the Englishman hopes not to break down and once again overcome cancer and continue living a normal life.
"Of course, these are not the best news, but in life I fought for many things and I will do it now," - B. Robson has not lost his optimism, who was offered the position of head coach of the Lithuanian team "Hearts" in Edinburgh in 2005.
"The last operation last summer was successful, but doctors say they cannot do another one now.
“At least it is good that they measure the nodules in my lungs not in centimeters, but in millimeters.
This is an encouraging circumstance and I hope that the treatment will help solve this problem.
“I was advised to stay busy and active. That's what I will try to do with all my might.”
In a coaching career that lasted over 36 years, B. Robson has managed clubs such as London's Fulham, PSV Eindhoven, Porto, Barcelona, and Newcastle United.
From 1982 to 1990, he was in charge of the English national team.
