On Tuesday, Munich's "Bayern" triumphantly completed the UEFA Champions League group stage by defeating "Manchester United" with a score of 1:0.
The German champions lost only two points in six matches and secured the first place.
Although it was expected before the season that "Man Utd" could compete for the first place, the "Red Devils" ended up in last place in the group.
After the match at "Old Trafford," "Bayern" coach Thomas Tuchel admitted that he, too, expected a tough fight for the top spot against "Man Utd" before the season started but acknowledged that their group was very strong.
"You should never forget that 'Manchester United' is a huge club. When you see such a team in your group, you're almost certain they will fight for the first place. However, I can assure you that this group was very tough. It may seem like we easily progressed to the next stage, but the path was indeed challenging," Tuchel said.
