From last summer, Jesse Lingard, who has been without a club, may unexpectedly end up in Spain.

„Sport“ reports that the 31-year-old Englishman is among the contenders to join „Barcelona“.

It is reported that financially troubled „Barca“ is interested in signing a contract with the relatively inexpensive footballer.

J. Lingard spent some time in Saudi Arabia, where he tried to make an impression at „Al-Ettifaq“ team's training sessions.

J. Lingard's last career stop was at the „Nottingham Forest“ club.
