Last season Lithuania's national team captain Fedor Chernych, who played in Cyprus, is moving to India and will play for FC "Kerala Blasters" team.
„Kerala Blasters“ team was founded in May 2014 and competes in the Indian Super League (ISL). The majority of the team is made up of Indians, as well as forwards from Greece and Ghana, midfielders from Montenegro and Japan, and a defender from Croatia. The Lithuanian will be the sixth foreign player on the team.
F. Chernych's new team started the season successfully in the "Kalinga Super Cup" tournament, and in the ISL championship they have achieved 8 wins, experienced 2 losses, and had 2 draws, currently holding the first place.
32-year-old Lithuanian, who spent his entire professional career in foreign clubs, terminated his contract with Limassol's AEL club by mutual agreement last weekend and became a free agent.
