„Barcelona“ did not resist Madrid's „Real“ team in the Spanish Super Cup final on Sunday.
The Catalans lost to the „royal“ club with a score of 1:4 in the title fight.
After the lost final, „Barca“ coach Xavi apologized to the team's fans.
„We can't play like this in the final. We played tragically in defense and couldn't press the opponents properly.
We started the final with two missed goals, it's just incomprehensible. Roberto Lewandowski's goal revived our hopes, but later a penalty, which in my opinion was unfair, once again brought us down.
The second half in terms of the game was even worse. We couldn't handle the opponents' attacks.
I am very disappointed not only as a coach, but also as a fan of „Barca“. I want to apologize to our fans. We must resist this defeat“, – Xavi said.
