Bayern Munich's veteran Thomas Muller misses "tougher" football on the pitch.
As the experienced German told the publication "Bild", referees now judge every action of footballers on the field too precisely.
"I will say openly - current football sometimes seems too slow to me. Toughness has its charm. It shouldn't turn into inhuman fighting on the pitch, but coaches should be allowed to include certain elements of aggressiveness in their tactics," explained T. Muller.
This season, the veteran more often rises from the bench of substitutes, but he does not intend to question coach Thomas Tuchel's decisions.
"This is a top-level club and there are no phrases here that a player does not want to agree with the coach's decision. Bayern has many great players in attack, so the competition is felt. I think I have already shown in this season that it is too early to write me off," said T. Muller.
In 14 Bundesliga matches this season, the forward has scored 1 goal and made 6 assists.
