Former England national team goalkeeper Trevor Sinclair announced that at the end of this season he will leave the Premier League team where he spent four years.
The 34-year-old veteran moved from a London team to Man City for £2.5 million in 2003, but over the four years spent at the Manchester club, he was plagued by constant injuries and only managed to play 98 matches.
"This week, I discussed my situation with the head coach Stuart Pearce and we decided that after this season I will leave City and look for new challenges for the remaining part of my career," said Sinclair.
"I am extremely satisfied with the time I spent at Man City, as I fulfilled my dream of playing for this club, which I always supported. I would like to thank all the staff and fans and wish them all the best for the next season," Sinclair told the Man City website.
"I still feel I can play in the English Premier League for at least a few more years," continued the player, who has no plans to end his professional football career - "I haven't played enough for a long time and I am happy that a new challenge can provide me with more opportunities to play regularly."
Sinclair, who played for clubs such as QPR, West Ham, and Bradford, represented the England national team at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan. In total, he played 12 matches for the England team, and last represented his country in May 2003.
