The champions club of the Netherlands announced that they will not extend contracts with two famous football players - Patrick Kluivert and Michael Reiziger.
The news was announced by coach Ronald Koeman on Thursday regarding 30-year-old P. Kluivert and 34-year-old M. Reiziger, who are former members of the Dutch national team.
Former "Ajax", "Milan", "Barcelona", "Newcastle", and "Valencia" player P. Kluivert signed a one-year contract with "PSV" last August. This season, he represented the Eindhoven team in 16 Eredivisie matches, scoring 3 goals. The striker claims that he would like to continue playing for two more years.
Meanwhile, M. Reiziger, who previously played for "Milan", "Barcelona", and "Middlesbrough", joined "PSV" two years ago but also spent a lot of time on loan to teams such as "Volendam" and "Groningen". In two seasons at Eindhoven, this defender played only 24 Dutch championship matches.
The dramatically crowned champions of the Netherlands, "PSV", have directly qualified for the next season's Champions League group stage.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old PSV player Ibrahim Affelay will soon undergo ankle surgery. The striker, who has already made his debut in the senior national team, will have to miss the European Under-21 Championship this summer in the Netherlands due to injury.
