Dietmar Hamann expressed hope that he will stay in his current club, even though his former club Bayern Munich is interested in him.
The German national team player, who is currently preparing for the European Championship in Portugal, said: "I like Liverpool and I would like to stay here. But if Bayern makes an offer - I will consider it."
Bayern Munich is also interested in Deco from the team and Torsten Frings, who plays for Borussia Dortmund. However, there is a strong possibility that Bayern will not keep Michael Ballack in the team, and Hamann could potentially take his place.
Dietmar has been playing for Liverpool for five years, and he joined the club from Newcastle United. The 30-year-old footballer added: "When you only have one year left on your contract, it is common to consider all other options. I haven't started talking to Liverpool yet about extending the contract, but we will soon start negotiations."
