On Saturday, "Šiauliai" suffered their seventh defeat this season, losing 2-1 to "Ekranas" in Panevėžys. Acting coach Rytis Tavoras tried to find some positive things in the game.
"Maybe we were a little unlucky, we didn't take advantage of several great opportunities, although, of course, "Ekranas" had the upper hand during the match," said R. Tavoras, temporarily substituting for Darius Magdišauskas who had left for Sweden due to family reasons.
Although the coach regretted that his team lost in the last minute, he sincerely congratulated the "Ekranas" team on their victory.
"The most painful thing is when a team doesn't play and loses. But when a team fights and loses, you can see the bright side," the strategist tried to look optimistically.
When asked if he was satisfied with his team's performance, R. Tavoras answered that not entirely, but did not name specific player errors.
