The defender of the Ivory Coast national team and London club, Emmanuel Eboue, has linked his future with the "Gunners" team by signing a long-term contract, the details of which are not officially disclosed.
The 23-year-old footballer started his career at Arsenal in 2005 when the club acquired him from the Belgian club "Beveren" in January for an estimated sum of 1.5 million pounds sterling.
The player gained the trust of the first-team coach Arsene Wenger and became the main right-back, replacing the Cameroonian national team defender Lauren, who moved to the club in January.
In total, E. Eboue played 71 times for Arsenal and in 2005 won the Football Association (FA) Cup with the Gunners and participated in last year's UEFA Champions League final, where the team was defeated with a score of 2-1.
According to the official Arsenal website, the defender has signed a long-term contract, but the finer details are not disclosed.
This season, the Ivory Coast legionnaire played in 34 matches and scored one goal in the UEFA Champions League group match against a German team.
Arsenal remained without titles this year. They were eliminated from the most prestigious European tournament in the quarter-finals, losing to PSV Eindhoven, reached the final of the League Cup, but lost after a dramatic battle to Chelsea, and finished in 4th place in the Premier League.
