The Leverkusen club has reinforced its ranks with the promising 21-year-old defender Lukas Sinkiewicz. He has signed a four-year contract that will expire in the summer of 2011.
This footballer has represented the "Cologne" club since childhood, currently playing in the second Bundesliga, and, according to experts, has made a good impression. L. Sinkiewicz has also represented the German national team three times.
"Lukas successfully competes in situations of ball possession and plays well with his head. This brings additional stability to our defense. "Bayer" is one of the best clubs in Germany, the team is young, and we are looking towards the future and hoping to compete successfully again in European cup tournaments," said Leverkusen club coach Michael Skibbe.
"Bayer" has secured 5th place in the German championship this season and will again compete in the UEFA Cup next season.
