John Terry strongly denied rumors that he intends to leave London in the summer.
In the media, there have been reports that the central defender will soon write a request to the "Blues" management, expressing his desire to look for a new team. The reason for this is stalled negotiations for a new long-term contract.
"It's complete nonsense. I would never do that," insisted the 26-year-old footballer.
"The season is over for us, an important decision-making period has begun and I hope that negotiations for my new contract will continue.
"I simply did not want all this talk to happen while preparing for the FA Cup final or while continuing to fight for the Premier League title. I told the managers to wait until summer. It wouldn't have been right if I played with thoughts of a contract.
"I hope everything will be resolved as soon as possible."
England's national team defender J. Terry has represented Chelsea since childhood. His current contract will expire in 2009.
After the triumph in the FA Cup final, another symbol of the London club who could become a legend, Frank Lampard, also stated his connection with a move to another team.
"This is my team, which I love and which I will represent forever," declared the footballer.
