The 10th round of the "A lyga" started today at 13:00. The match took place at the Vilnius "Žalgiris" stadium where two underdog teams - "Vilnius" and "Šilutė" met.
The guests were clearly superior to their opponents, defeating them 0-4 and moving up to second-to-last place on the tournament table. This was the first victory for the Šilutė team this season. The remaining three round matches will be played at 17:00.

The first threat to the hosts' goal came in the fifth minute, when Marius Žaliūkas received the ball on the right side of the penalty area and struck, but the goalkeeper was in position. In the 12th minute, Veseljevas found himself in a similar situation, but this time the goalkeeper blocked the shot, only for him to send the ball into the net on the second attempt.
After eight minutes, the Šilutė team doubled the lead - the Vilnius team lost the ball in the middle of the field, and Svajūnas Česnulis took advantage of it, sending a powerful and accurate shot from the penalty area.
The hosts continued to struggle to create attacks, lacking precise passes near the goal. At the end of the first half, Olegas Mozgovojus could have further increased the lead, but his shot from 15 meters missed the target.
The second half started with rain. Jevgenijus Gikas had a good opportunity to reduce the score, finding himself free in front of the goal, but his shot went straight to the goalkeeper Skinderis. Soon after, a player from the visiting team almost scored on the other side of the field, but failed to beat the Vilnius goalkeeper.
In the 56th minute, several excellent passes led Nerijus Mačiulis one-on-one, and the young defender sent the ball into the net. Just four minutes later, the result became overwhelming - Česnulis' penalty shot from 19 meters hit the wall and flew into the goal. Since both teams accepted the outcome of the match, the remaining time of the match did not produce any more dangerous moments.
