London's "Chelsea" faced problems not only on the field, but also beyond its borders - the "Blues" club received a disqualification in the transfer window.
"Chelsea" will not be able to buy players in the next two transfer windows and will also have to pay a fine of 460 thousand pounds sterling. The FA also received a monetary fine - 390 thousand pounds.
FIFA has been investigating "Chelsea" for years. "Chelsea" was punished for violating rules in acquiring underage players.
"Chelsea" has three days to appeal this ban.
Journalists close to the club report that "Chelsea" has real chances to delay the transfer ban at least until winter. This would mean that the club could still make changes to the team roster next summer.
