"Manchester United" club legend Peter Schmeichel believes that Madrid's "Real" will become the first team to win the UEFA Champions League trophy twice in a row.
Last season, the royal club triumphed in the tournament after a long hiatus and this season will attempt to defend their champion title. "Real" has won the title five times in a row, however, since the 1992-1993 season when the Champions League received a new name, no team has won the title twice in a row.
"Madrid's "Real" will be the first team to win the UEFA Champions League trophy twice in a row," said the former goalkeeper to "Goal.com" journalist.
"They look great. Cristiano Ronaldo is in fantastic shape, and their new signings Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez are excellent acquisitions," added P. Schmeichel.
In 1999, he lifted the Champions League trophy with the "Man Utd" team.
