During Wednesday evening's "Ligue 1" match, PSG defeated Montpellier players with a score of 3:1.

PSG had a great opportunity to take the lead in the 10th minute of the match, but Kylian Mbappe failed to convert a penalty kick. After that, there were several VAR reviews, which resulted in Lionel Messi and Hugo Ekike's accurate shots being disallowed.

However, the Parisians managed to take the lead in the 55th minute. Fabian Ruiz scored after a pass from Hugo Ekike.

In the 72nd minute, Lionel Messi doubled the visitors' lead with a fantastic display of technique.

In the 89th minute, Montpellier's hope was revived by Arnaud Nordin's goal. However, their hopes were ultimately dashed as PSG restored a two-goal lead just minutes later through sixteen-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery.

After these matches, PSG continues to sit at the top of the league table, leading their closest competitors Marseille by five points.
