Paris Saint-Germain learned of news that was inevitable.
According to various reports, Kylian Mbappe informed PSG club president Nasser Al Khelaifi that he will leave the club as a free agent this summer.
The 25-year-old Frenchman, most closely linked with Real Madrid, does not yet have an agreement with another club. However, according to sources, an agreement is in the works.
Yesterday, the Paris club achieved a 2-0 victory against Real Sociedad in the Champions League knockouts. They also lead the Ligue 1 standings.
K. Mbappe is having a fantastic season - 24 goals and 4 assists in 26 matches in the Champions League and in France.
The forward was supposed to leave Paris almost 2 years ago, but he, under pressure even from French President Emmanuel Macron, changed his mind at the last minute and stayed with PSG. He then signed a two-year contract that expires this summer.
The French champions will save approximately €200 million on K. Mbappe's salary. However, it may not be possible to recover that amount from Real Madrid or another club.
