The football news portal Goal.com claims to be able to confirm that Giovani Lo Celso will represent Paris Saint-Germain next season.
The attacking midfielder from Argentina will sign a contract with the French champions in the coming days, but will still spend the first half of the next season in his homeland, where he will be loaned to his current club Rosario Central.
The transfer is essentially agreed upon and both teams just need to finalize the financial details.
"If there was any competition for this deal, it is already in the past," confirmed a source close to PSG.
Furthermore, coach Laurent Blanc also spoke about Lo Celso yesterday: "He has great potential. We have been observing him for a long time. We want to acquire talented young players, even if we have to look abroad."
"The agreement is not final yet, so his arrival is not inevitable. He will stay in Argentina for some time."
The twenty-year-old's father, Juan Lo Celso, also said that negotiations still need to be completed. However, when this deal will be finalized is likely just a matter of time.
