The second half began with another "bloody" incident. While challenging for a high ball, a "Chateauroux" player accidentally hit the opponent in the face with his elbow, causing a cut above his eye. A player from the Paris club dribbled into the penalty area, deceived the goalkeeper, but his shot was almost cleared off the goal line by the opponent's defender. In the 66th minute, the only and winning goal was scored. After a corner kick, Portuguese player Pedro Pauleta headed the ball accurately and brought "P.S.G" into the lead. "Chateauroux" tried to equalize until the end, but the opponents defended without errors.
