Amsterdam's "Ajax" may remain without a spot in the Champions League.
The team from the capital of the Netherlands was defeated 0:3 by Eindhoven's PSV players.
In the 13th minute of the match, PSV took the lead. The goal was scored by Luuk de Jong with a header. At the beginning of the second half, Xavi Simons doubled the score from the penalty spot.
In the 60th minute, the match was temporarily stopped because Eindhoven's fans threw an object at Steven Berghuis.
After the resumption of the match, PSV secured their victory. The duo of Simons and de Jong sealed the deal with a third goal for the hosts.
After this defeat, "Ajax" remains in third place and can only aim for the Europa League.
